Because each piece of wall art is custom made-to-order, and we do not keep inventory of any of our Canvases, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. However, if your art was damaged in shipment, please contact us and we will take care of you right away! All items in the Mercantile are final sale as well. We use those words interchangeably, but they mean the same thing! After the art is printed, the piece is then expertly hand-embellished by one of five artists. Using either a palette knife or brush (depending on the artwork), they apply a proprietary watercolor-meets-acrylic material (similar to gel medium) to the printed canvas. This material adds a semi-translucent depth and added interest to the piece that makes it feel like you are experiencing an original work of art – because you are!

About 20% of the surface area of the artwork will be embellished – just enough to hilight certain areas and make it come to life!

We only offer the canvases at Anchor Merit with the added embellishment/texture. (You will love it – trust us!) However, if you are looking for lettered art, or art without texture, you will find that at LindsayLetters.co.

Yes and no. What you are seeing in the images above is the exact image that gets sent to print for your art. The painting and composition are exactly the same as the painting you will receive. Some things of note, however:

• The images above do not have the texture/embellishment added to them. This is because the embellishment application is at the discretion of the embellishing artist and will vary from piece to piece. (This is what makes it one of a kind!) Be assured that the texture will only enhance the painting, not take away and the composition will not be altered or affected.

• The color on your monitor most certainly will look different than that of a canvas print. (Technically, that's because screens display colors by emitting light. Conversely, printed materials rely on the reflection of light from the printed ink, which makes colors print darker and less saturated than they appear on screens). Additionally, the lighting in the styled photographs can change the appearance of the art slightly (as it will in your space).

• You may choose a different framing option than the image displayed, and your canvas will come with whatever framing option you select, which may or may not be depicted in the photos.

It sounds obvious, but –measure, measure, measure! We are unable to exchange your artwork if you need a bigger size, so please measure first. We recommend using painters tape to visualize the size of your canvas in the space. Most people wish that they went bigger! Just use a measuring tape to measure the painters tape to the size(s) you're considering selecting, and block off the dimensions on the wall.

Canvas Wall Art will be drop shipped from our facility in California. The products in The Mercantile will ship directly from the brand listed on the product purchased. The packaging and shipping updates will reference the item's original brand/vendor as well, and you may receive promotional updates from them. This Collective format cuts down on cost and waste, and ensures you get your item(s) in a timely manor!

No, Mercantile products will not go on sale, and are excluded from any other side-wide promotions, discount codes, offers and rewards. They are available to us through a Collective (think: e-commerce co-op), and the pricing is set by the respective vendors. Thanks for understanding!
